Ending of the First Term

Universities here is quite different from those in China - I feel so busy during this time, and always hoping the weekend will come soon. But, I learned quite alot of things through this kind of studying style.
The term is already over now, and I got quite a good result - 2 As and one left unknown -probably also A I think. Now is the time to make a plan for my spring holidays. I think I should read some papers in my research field, and some books on compilers and mathematic foundations.
Also, I've already selected two courses for the next semester - one is Compiler Construction and Theory, the other is Modern Algebra, recommended by my advisor. Both courses are very challenging for me - the first one is titled as the most difficult course offered by my advisor, the other is also a difficult course, even for those mathematic majors! Thus, I decided to find a much easier one to fill the last slot, otherwise I will be so tired and hardly have any energy to do anything else.
The snow here is so thick now. I wish I have a camera to record this...

Final Business

I'm quite busy for these few days.

Boring for the Whole Day

From Thursday till now I am just keep wasting time. The homework for Types and Programming Languages is due to Thursday of nextweek, but I didn't have a little desire to accomplish it. After defining the syntax and judgment, I found something hard to understand and difficult to implement. After thinking on it for a couple of hours, I feel tired and give up. And now, it's hard to repick them.

Cold

The winter of Milwaukee is extremely cold. It's only early December, but the temperature is already dropped to almost -10c. Now, the snow is so thick in the outside. Everything is white. Especially, the ground turns to be so slippery which makes walking even difficult. At first, we are so happy to see so many snow around us. However, after a few days it becomes somewhat boring, and it makes us sad to imaging that this kind of weather will last until April of next year...

HAPPY DAY!

It's my happiest birthday ever! I received a precious gift from my darling, and we also had a very good time together. I will remember this day forever!

Writting Thesis

The thesis should be put on top-priority now, as the time left to finish it is very urgent. I will spent all my energy in doing this job for the coming month. I don't want to postpone my graduation!
